I swear I’ve been good this year! I'm hoping for zero lumps of coal this time – and if even part of this wish list comes through, I will need a much larger, and stronger, stocking hung by the chimney with care!

Seriously though…We were talking about holiday wines around Benchmark Headquarters the other day and the team asked me: What does a Master Sommelier drink for the holidays? Well, I got a little ambitious about answering that question, and changed it slightly: What should a Master Sommelier drink for the holidays? That was the starting place, at least – the list I chose certainly isn’t just for credentialed wine professionals, but it does reflect the sort of wines you might find gracing many wine pro tables this holiday season.

Here you’ll find some classics: Top-level Red Bordeaux; White and Red Burgundy to die for; rock star wines from a wide assortment of great wine regions, from excellent vintages and with just the right amount of bottle age. And don’t forget the obligatory awesome bottle of Champagne.
