- The 2012 Proprietary Red Blend The David Estate is a Rutherford blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Merlot. Production is approximately 450 cases. Graphite, licorice, truffle, roast beef, blackberry and cassis aromas soar from a glass of this dense purple-colored wine. Full-bodied, opulent, complex and already impossible to resist, this glorious 2012 should drink well for a decade or more. Kudos to David Del Dotto!
