About Tenuta di Arceno

Rich in history, Tenuta di Arceno is an ancient Tuscan estate that has been a center for winemaking since the 16th century. Tenuta di Arceno has a diverse portfolio of the highest quality wines across two classification levels – three wines centered on the native Sangiovese grape in the Chianti Classico DOCG collection; and three wines celebrating the estate's international varieties under the Toscana IGT designation. The estate is situated at the southernmost edge of Chianti Classico. Its location near the fork of two rivers – the Ambra and the Ombrone – this area was formerly the nexus of the Etruscan civilization. In honor of its history, the reference to "Arceno" comes from the Etruscan word archè, meaning "point of origin."

About Journeyman Meats

In the late 1800s, Acclaimed winemaker Peter Seghesio's grandparents emigrated from Italy and settled in Sonoma County. As lifelong farmers, they continued two traditions: winemaking and crafting artisanal salumi, sausage, and cured meats. At three years old, Peter learned how to craft sausage, cure meat, harvest the farm-raised hogs to create a fresh sausage, salumi, and other cured meats, carrying on a multi-generational tradition. In 1987, Peter took on the family business, Seghesio Family Vineyards. In 1997, Pete and his wife, Cathy, brought a cherished family tradition to the winery: annual sausage-making parties, where guests could handcraft meat to pair perfectly with their favorite wine. In 2011, the family passed the company on to new hands, making room for a new legacy. Pete began drafting plans to open a shop dedicated to crafting Italian-style meats with the same skill and attention that goes into producing wine.
