Château Palmer
Garnering Third Growth status from the historic Classification of 1855, Château Palmer of the Margaux appellation is known for its forward-thinking practices, imaginative culture and world-class wines. Named after the reputable General Palmer of the British Army, the château is now owned by local negociants including the Mahler-Besse and Sichel families. Many believe Palmer’s reputation has exceeded its third growth ranking since its legendary performance in the 1961 vintage arguably exceeding First Growth Chateau Margaux in quality. It is very hard for people not to love this multidimensional wine that boasts bouquets of dark fruit, sweet tannins, age-ability and a rich personality.
